Detroit, USA – On her final stop of the tour, Fairuz mesmerized an audience of 4,500 at Detroit’s Fox Theatre.

Detroit and the neighboring suburbs are home to the largest Arab-American population in the United States. The concert was a nostalgic journey for many, especially those who have not been to their countries of origin in a long time. This was the first time many in the audience had seen the Legendary Diva since her days at the Piccadilly in the 70’s. Fairuz, along with her musical and theatrical troupe, were residents at the famous Beirut theatre from 1969 through 1977, performing many of her famous plays and operettas.

Over two hours our Ambassador to the Stars performed the tour program, returning for three encores: “Ishta’tillak”, “Shatti Ya Dinni”, and “Nassam ‘aleina Elhawa”. Her final humble bow and wave goodbye was merely a promise of another meeting with her adoring fans.

Fairuz departed for Lebanon with her entourage on Friday October 24th after a three week tour in the US.
